Question About "the Pump".

OK, if anyone knows exact techniques on how to get a pump, please share. As for me, I don't seem to know that yet, some days I get all pumped up, on other days I don't.
What is a sure method?

Also: does frequent cardio diminish my chances of getting a pump?
 
What are you training for, growth?

I only bring this up because pursuit of a pump for its own sake will not provide much in the way of growth. I mean, if you really want a pump, pick a light weight and pump out 40-50 reps of each exercise. But I think most people here will agree that such a method wouldn't produce many results.

Look at getting pumped this way: it's a by-product of work with high-ish reps (I get it doing 10-15 reps), but is indicative of nothing else.
