I have some type of fat oxidation issue whereas my body wishes to run off glucose 100% of the time and when it is absent (low/no carb) I feel the repercussions (extreme migraines). Apparently, as I have discovered, this is fairly normal for certain people to experience in low/no carb diets.
*I am not diabetic, 5’9”, 220, 13%BF currently.
I would like to know what exact tests are needed to cover all possible issues relating to this type of metabolism/fat oxidation issue. The purpose of the testing is to determine if something else is creating a bottleneck to loosing body fat.
The last tests with ranges I had were as follows:
TSH 3.49 Mlu/L 0.40-4.50
T3, Free 4.5pg/mL 2.3-4.2
T-4, Free 1.6 ng/dL 0.8-1.8
E2 usually falls around 25-30
I posted this in another forum last year with one reply that I could have elevated reverse T3. I will have them test this (next week) but is there ANYTHING else I should get while I’m there?
Thanks.
