Q-tip - do you take Glucosamin/Chondroiten?? I find it helps my knees - I don't notice the diff. unless if forget to take it.....

And if your knees ache - RICE them --> Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation

Especially ice!!

No I don't take any of that but if I'm going to stick with incorperating more HIIT then I better invest in some.

Thursday - 06/14/06

waking temp: 96.0

I went to bed right after I posted last nite (around 8:30) Slept thru the alarm again, late for work by 11 min. WTF?

Knees don't feel too bad today, hip only hurts when I move a certain way. YEAH!

We're moving part of our office today, that means teardown and re-assembling about 30 pc's, phones, etc. and it has to be done today so I'm not sure if I will get to eat my meals on time today.

I'm running my morning utilities while I'm checking/posting on EF ;)

What's with the hip?? Did it hurt before the knee thing or after??

Yep. Been moving pc's since bright n early this morning. Just now stopped for lunch - they provided subway so I had a 6" Tuscan Chicken sammich, diet coke & baked doritos. :p

I took melatonin about 8pm last nite but even on the nites I don't take it I have slept thru my alarm.

I didn't take the CB last nite because I was getting to the gym later than I wanted and I didn't want it to interfere with my sleep.

If I could sleep from 4am-8am it would be perfect - that's when I get the best sleep.

The right hip has always been harder to get loosened up than the left one so I expect pain/discomfort from it when restarting any exercise regimen.

LOLOL @ moving stuff. The IT staff stopped long enough to eat. I have to run some afternoon utils before I restart the moving adventure so they are just going to have to play with all the cables without me for a while.

2 tsp protein powder
24 oz coffee, splenda/ff creamer

***Office move - moved pc's, peripherals, phones etc. old & new offices are down the block from each other. Lots of walking today.***
(24 oz CL & 24 oz water)

Meal 2 (?)
I nibbled on these most of the day, one here, one there....
11 dry roasted almonds

Meal 3 (noon)
6" Tuscan chicken sub on honey/oat bread w/extra pickles
1 bag baked doritos
20 oz diet coke

Meal 4 (5pm'ish)
30 brussels sprouts cooked in water w/sodium free chicken boullion
6 oz chicken
24 oz water

**Gym**

Meal 5 (8pm)
16 oz whey shake w/milk, glutamine, 1 egg white

Meal 6 (9-9:30pm'ish)
1 tbsp skippy NPB


Total: 1807
Fat: 34, 18%
Carbs: 197, 41%
Fiber: 29, 0%
Protein: 169, 41%


Workout question:
Can you "superset" with 2 exercises of does it have to be 3?

If 2 is ok then I supersetted all of the dumbell exercises tonite w/little or no rest inbetween sets (no rest is a 15 second break or less) and as little rest as possible inbetween the supersets.

Bent over row - 3x15 #40 and
Incline flyes - 3x15 #10 (no rest between sets)

Front/Side dumbell raises - 3x15 #5 and
Standing dumbell curls - 3x15 #10 (15-30 sec break inbetween sets)

Seated machine press - 2x15 #30, 1x25 #30
Butterflys - 1x15 #40, 2x15 #30

Treadmill - 15 min 3.6 mph except last 2 min @ 3.0

Basically supersetting is switching from one exercise to another immediately.....so yes, you can do that.......and you DID!!!!! :) WTG!
