Quaker Oats French Toast: MMmmmmm

haploid

New member
Ordinarily I can't stand oatmeal, but I discovered this quaker Oats product called "French Toast" - it's basically instant oats with some yummy shit in it. I could eat this all day.

My question is: Is there any real scientific data that suggests instant oats are worse than regular oats? A lot of people on here say that's the case, but from what I've read the only difference is that instant oats are precooked. the end result is the same: cooked oats.

I would love any excuse to switch to eating this stuff, thanks :)

I know exactly the product you're referring to, and I agree, it's incredible! However, the sugar content is high. Take a look at the label. Unless you plan to consume that stuff post-workout with a good protein source, I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

I will say, though, that my "cheat" meals sometimes consist of the sugary oatmeal like that...it can be hard to resist. :)
