Q for "oldies"

Hey bros and broettes!

So my body is feeling this contest prep bigtime and I'm wondering what others do to keep the physical damage to a minimum and keep training.

My right hamstring in particular has been singing at me... I think I tore it years back and there's some scar tissue palpable. I've done the basics (massage, stretch, arnica) and am adding some ibuprofen (which I hate to do) today to hopefully decrease the inflammation.

I know some of you have stuff you swear by though. What do you do for muscle tissue tightness?

Also, I'd like to hear from (especially via PM) anyone who practices acupuncture or electroacupuncture -- I could use some help developing a "treatment plan".

Thanks and happy lifting!!!

xo, C

i prefer hot baths and tiger balm, i think tiger balm is more of a uk thing but its more or less just deep tissue heat rub, smells really strong! lol but its used widely amongst competition level thai boxers whom ive trained with and bodybuilders and powerlifters who i also train with, deeply soothes muscles and especially with a hot bath, you've also got to pace yourself doing to much to soon can cause more damage and put you back more then progressing to your comp! lisen to your body and slow down for a short period itll help more then it wont!
