Been thinking about this recently. Would it not be better to use a blend of whey isolate and a slower acting protein? Like a 60/40 mixture of whey/casein.
That way the majority of your protein will flood your body immediatly after a workout while the slower acting protein will be more sustained release and provide amino's to your muscles (keeping you in a positive nitrogen balance) untill your second PW meal 90 minutes later?
To me, this seems like the way to go, but I'm not an "expert' on this stuff. I was thinking of using 25g Whey Protein Isolate, and 15g Met-Rx Protein Plus in my PW shake. One scoop of the Met-Rx Protein Plus has 15g protein, <1g fat, <2g carbs and the protien itself is a mix of Milk Protein Concentrate, Calcium Caseinate, Sodium Caseinate, Whey Protein Isolate, L-Glutamine, Dried Egg Whites.
Am I on to something here, or is this a stupiud idea?
