pullups have jacked my arms and upper body

my traps/bis/forearms have benefited greatly from pullups twice a week.
i mix it up with max out sets and weighted...trying out 5*5 weighted now, liking it.
i switch from under to over each set...anyone like to share some pullup info/express pullup love?
 
I used to do 3 sets everyday before my workout just to get warmed up and started.. On back day strapped a 45 on and killed it for 10-15reps for 3 sets.. Got up to 32 pullups for a record at 175lbs (fully extended).. My back was beast and loved it... Then got married had a little guy and lost it in 4 yrs.. Finally back and working on my pullups twice a week.. Progression is slow but keeping at it.. Love pullups!!

i'm good for about 30 palms in and 20 palms out.
proly added a good 1/2inch to my bi's in the last 6 weeks or so

I love pull ups! Im still small lol, but that def. have done alot for my bi's/back lol, I've progressed from like 2 pullups and 3 chins (half extended) to like 15-16 chins and 12 pullups fully extended, going to start going weighted 5x5 now i rekon, take it nice and slow with the weight and progress. What do you guys think would be a good chinup:bodyweight in terms of like a 1RM weighted one. I weigh 150lb atm.. working on it ;)

no idea about the 1rm, never heard of anybody trying a max on pullups.
wouldn't try it myself, pullups kinda tweak my shoulders as is
 
I think that pullups/chins are one of the best exercises you can do.

I like to do diff rep schemes on different days usually lots of perfect low rep (3-8) sets with little rest between, and occasionally one max set.

Another tevhnique to get good is to do a set of 1-3 reps in between every other set of every exercise you do.

Imagine it: in a typical 5x5 workout you may do 20 or so sets of squats, bench, deads, and then 20 sets of three chins, really builds up the volume fast and easily.
 
I have been chinning twice a week until i hurt my shoulder, great improvement in bi's and lats. very hard to get stronger on them i find though...
 
i love pull ups/chins. i go as wide as the bar allows me...just recently have been able to get a full set in with 90lbs on the dip belt. i've found the best way to improve on them is to go as slow as u can on the negative.
 
heavy weighted chins did me well for a very long time, now the elbows dont even like doing bw pullups. make sure to take time away from them.
 
Pull Ups have done nothing for my arms, and I can do 5 with 40% of my weight attached.

Everyone is different.

they improve my lats though
 
Is there any way to engage your accessory muscles more during these exercises? I'm sure if my bisceps actually did something in pull ups/rows i could add another 5-10 kg immediately.

Should I do some warm up biscep sets before doing pull ups/rows?

I'm thinking that something like reverse grip curls and zottman curls would do the trick, plus doing sets above 12 rep on chins will pump you up more, last time time i did these I went above 20 reps and my bis/forearms were jacked!
