Today was ME Bench day, and Dg21, KG18, MjayM, and CHawk19 came to train with us. Those guys always motivate me. They toss around plates like it's no big deal.
I started with a 4 board, and hit a PR of 315 pounds, former max was 287.
Then I worked up in weight and down in boards until I reached my new shirted full ROM 1RM...and I hit 285. It was FUUUUUGLY, but at least I know it's there, and that if it had been a 3rd attempt, rather than the last thing I did after 30 mins of benching, it would've been easier. I'm still learning this shirt though. Never seems to be in the same place twice. My max prior to this was 270 at the February comp, so 15 pounds. I'll take it. I want 15 more though, for now.
