PRE and POST workout meals? What do u have?

What I eat before depends on what time of the day it is. If I have a hard work out at night, I usually eat dinner first (fish and brown rice or veggies). Then I drink a protein shake within 30 minutes after my work out. If I work out mid-morning (on the weekends), I usually have some oatmeal and a couple of eggs first, then a protein shake after. My pre-workout food is usually 30 mins-1 hour in advance. If anyone has any 'better' suggestions - I'd love to hear them!

i won't eat within 1.5 hours of a workout.. only thing that can be consumed is a green apple 30 minutes before..

a protein shake like isopure with no carbs and mixed with water can be digested withing 20 minutes so that would be ok..

as for energy.. yep.. fats and a stim at the last meal before the workout..

hows that..

Hey there! I wanted to see what you all prefer to have pre and post workout... let me know:)

I suggest you eat protein and carbs 1.5 hr pre workout and a protein drink post workout.

Yeah. We use a product from Universal Nutrition called Isowhey, which is their version of Isopure. We also use their product LAVA for post workout. So here is how my wife and I do it:

30-45 min Pre-workout: Isowhey shake with 1-2 Tbsp MCT oil.

10 min Pre-workout: 10gm glutamine and 10gm BCAA/EAA Mixture

Immed. Post-workout: 10gm glutamine and 10gm BCAA/EEA Mixture

15-20 min Post-workout: 1-2 servings of Universal LAVA with 5-10gm creatine

We then have out next meal 1-1.5 hrs after that.

I'm up at 4am because I'm in the gym at 5am M-F Here's what I have Pre:
Either 1/2C oatmeal made with water AND 4 egg whites OR
Protein pancake made with 4 egg whites, 1/2C oats, 1/4C cottage cheese, ground flax seed, all blended and made into a pancake. Topped with 1T ANPB or Polaner all fruit

Post: 1 scoop whey, 5g creatine, 2 scoops Xtend
2 hours later a meal

damn that sounds good.

for me usually a cup of oats with splenda and cocoa 1.5 hrs preworkout. protein shake with some cinnamon afterwards. next meal 60-90 mins after.

I usually workout in the morning so I need some energy. I'll either have a protein pankake (3-4 egg whites, oatmeal, and blueberries), or a protein shake (8 oz skim milk, protein powder, 1 spoonful of natural peanutbutter, frozen strawberries or blueberries). This is usually about an hour before I get to the gym and combined with my coffee gets me going.

After I workout I will either have protein powder in a shaker and add water or some fat free cottage cheese and a chef jays protein cookie. (I'm addicted to those things).

Are the chef jays protein cookies made by tri-o-plex? I plugged it in to google and found:

Chef Jays :: Tri-O-Plex :: Cookies

Is this them? I'm always looking to try new, tasty protein options!
