Postworkout/Preworkout, If you eat a lot why doesn't it turn to fat?

What is the reason that the food you eat pre/postworkout doesn't turn to fat? Even if you eat A LOT.

I don't know if it is true, it's just what a lot of people say.

If it is true, why is it like that? If it is true, why don't people have really huge pre/postworkout meals?

What do you consider huge?

I mean basically as much protein+carbs you can handle pre and postworkout.

I would assume that the pre workout meal would be mostly burned up during the actual excercise, not sure about the post. It would seem to me that your body would be in a state to use the food to recover/repair muscle after a workout as opposed to storing extra as fat, but I do know for sure.

I'm gonna test this out.

PreHIIT-30g simple carbs, 40g protein
PreWeights-40g Simple carbs, 40g PRotein
PostWeights- 80g Simple carbs, 80g Protein.

the reason your body can absorb more nutrients post workout is due to the fact that it is in a starved state. You just used up its fuel and you need to replace it, especially glycogen meaning simple sugar.-josh

to me 80 of each isnt too excessive, you may not need that many grams of protein but the carbs is definatly fine....depends on your bodyweight too. I read in Muscular Development in the ask Jay Cutler section the he eats 250g of carbs both pre and post workout... and he trains twice a day and does it both times.....granted he is a monster and on a lot of gear but that is a lot of carbs...
