Postworkout carbs on a keto? Yay or nay?

Thats cool, I can agree to disagree. But I think you are not taking into account the changes that take place in someone that is eating a low carb diet, but thats ok.

i dont think there is one right answer for the question..you can sit on both sides of the fence, there are natural competitors that have carbs centered around their workout, and there are natural competitors that load up at specific times during the week..either way like someone said before you to experiment and see which is better for your body

Someone told me that mixing one's protein powder in 1% milk was a good idea if on a keto diet. They said that it has a few carbs to replenish muscle stores and had added protein.
My thinking, though, is that milk might slow the absorption of the whey protein, although I'm not sure by how much.

Any ideas?

Him1, we can agree to disagree here, but I'm gaining muscle quite rapidly with no postworkout carbs 5 out of my 6 workouts every week. One of them happens to fall within my carb up so, natutally it gets carbs. While, I'm not going to argue and try to convince others that low carbs diets are ideal for gaining lbm, I do know from first hand experience that one can not only avoid loosing muscle w/o post workout carbs, but can GAIN muscle without them.

bilat, if you are doing a ckd, my advice is to NOT eat carbs pre, mid or post workout. You'll get them during your carbup phase.

Thanks, actually I'm gaining very quickly. I'm quite pleased with my current progress. Up 24 ibs.

Up 24lbs in how much time? No increase in bodyfat?

That is amazing, nice work.. You doing HST?

I'm doing 6 day a week, body parts each twice a week, really high volume... Considering switching to HST.
