Post up your Squat Max #'s

I am really into squats right now since they are pretty much all I can do with my injury (shoulder) and am setting some goals for myself. Just interested in everyone else's max squat numbers. Gives me some inspiration and something to strive for.

525 no belt or wraps and weighed 205lbs at the time, no idea what I can do now

135 (5x5) @ 5'4, 123. I would be much higher than this by now if I hadn't hurt my back 2 months ago. I'm going to try for a 1 rep max next week. Originally, I was aiming for 155 by Nov 9, then I hurt the back.

20 years ago:

405 x 8
495 x 2

210 @ 5'7"

Within the last two years or so:

320 x 8
360 x 4

225 @ 5'7"

Good luck with your squats but just be mindful of your shoulders when doing them. Having the bar across your shoulders and holding it in place during squats puts a lot of pressure on them.

I hear ya on that. What I have is a rotator cuff problem, so really the only time it bothers me during squats is when I lift the bar off the rack, and that doesn't really bother me.

squat max

My best ever is 545*3 with just a belt. I did this at about 230lbs one week out from this year's NASS nationals. I used a Rickey Dale Crain program to get up to that. Funny thing is when I tried it a second time, I couldn't keep up with it and had to bail on the thing.

PR doing pyramids

145 for 12
185 for 10
225 for 8 (none of these 3 sets were hard)
then 265 for 5.

that was what i did i think 3 weeks ago. only attempted 265 for 5 once, other than that, my prior max on pyramids was 245 for 5.

5'6", 160ish, only been lifting for 3 1/2 months. going to 5x5 on monday, that is, as long as my basement is prepped in time for me to workout. i'm not attempting any new maxxes for a few months. last time i attempted a max bench, it kind of threw my back into a tizzy, but didn't feel it til the next day (2 herniated discs in the thoracic).

im 210, 6' and just hit 455 today for the first time...1 rep, good form tho...no chance for a second...the minute i hit that tho, i thought what five plates would look like on the bar...no belt or anything

280lbs 5x5, currently working my way up another 5x5 but going 1-2" below parallel this time around instead of just to parallel. Did squats yesterday, legs more sore than usual due to depth =)

btw I keep on looking retarded as I accidently call the movie SWAT, Squat instead and it's happened several times. (it's recent release in UK).

Monday did 440 front squat for a single and
today did 540 back squat for a single.
I'm a 45 year old olympic lifter and weigh 220.
Only wear a Valeo belt (4" wide) and blue RHEBAND neoprene knee sleeves.

Thats some awesome numbers for you bro!!!! You should be proud to be lifting at your age, cause you got a lot of years and experience to show for it.

I had a back injury that knocked me down for about a year and a half. The numbers this week were both PR's. Had to work hard for them. And, yes, it feels great outlifting all of the young guys at the gym.

Bench = 350 x 3

Go figure.....it's because my knees SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could go really heavy........but honeslty, feels like pins and needles.......

505 X5 @ 220 is my personal best (I'm doing hack squats as my primary compound movement for quads now)

I'm going out on a limb here... normally any time I post a lift someone calls me a liar and demands a video.

first time squatting i worked up to 95 X 6. this was yesterday. it felt really easy. but i dont know what my max is and i wont know for some time as i focus solely on form right now :)

hell of a bench brotha...wtf is up with ur squats tho? i guess if ur at that weight, benching what u do, it dont really matter!

Family has a history of bad backs, but at 175 today I box squatted:

210x10, 225x8, 266x15 (supposed to be 6 but last set is always to failure in the program I'm on).

The only reason I did such a little amount of weight is because my bar is a regular 6' straight bar. The most if can hold is 266. I'm getting an olympic bar for X-mas, so then we'll see what I can do.

Pyramid
225X12
275X9
315X6
275X9
275x7

Ass to the floor, no wraps, no belt

5'9" 190

I suppose I could do a rep @ 405 but don't really care to to max.

Damn you guys haev good numbers. I have extremely loooong legs, and just started squatting ass to the floor (i was inspired by a powerlifter there pull 505 for like 6 asf. So im starting at 225x8 allll the way down, just to get the hang of it. Before i was doing 285x10 but they were shit form.
