Hi all.

I desperately need to drop some pounds. I am now at 140 lbs, up from 137 lbs. I have put on another 3 lbs in the past month. What the HELL am I doing wrong ? And I look fat !!!!!!!!!!!! All my pants don't fit and all my measurements have gone up, especially thighs & waist. I want to get back to my weight of 125 pounds. . . . . . I love weight training. I lift 5x a week, heavy weight, low reps, then switch it up to low weight, high reps, changing the reps, sets & moves every few weeks, plus abs 3x a week 3-4 sets 20-30 reps, no resistance. But I have not engaged in any cardio for the past 8 months.

But I do thankfully have muscle underneath it all. I think, even though I have been eating clean, I have been eating too much, I usually eat btwn. 5-6 times a day, should I scale back my meals ? to like 3-4 or 4-5 ?

Anyway, back to my original question: Since cardio really hurts my knees & shins I have found a 45 minute aerobics class, that I have been doing 2 days a week. that has not been hurting my legs, like joggin or running used to, Could this possibly be enough to drop some ?

I do however, don't want to lose all the muscle I have achieved over the last year, by doing too much cardio.

So, what is the minimum of cardio to drop some weight without dropping too much muscle ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Thanks !!!!!

Didnt you post that you wanted to cut??

..and then post thet you wanted to gain and THEN cut 3-4 days later??

....if so...make up your mind.

...and read the earler responses as the advice aint gonna change

Post up your current diet routine. I also wouldn't suggest eating less than 5-6 times a day. 5-6 times a day is ideal no matter what your goals are.

You don't need to much cardio really. 20-30 minutes 4x a week is sufficient for most.

Diet is the biggest key in determining how lean or fat you are.

Dont bother.....

I already know your diet -and you know you shouldn't change it. (Have you figured out your BMR/AMR so you know how many calories you burn every day?) The only thing I can figure is that you're cheating, or you're taking something that will cause the weight gain.

Are you taking any steroids? Anavar? Any pro-hormones?

As you know - cardio is extremely important for cutting/fat loss. This means high intensity cardio 3-4 times per week. During your classes, do you break a good sweat? Do you become out of breath? Does your chest burn? Face all red? If not, then you're not working hard enough.

My own personal experience is that if I don't feel like I'm going to die, then I didn't work hard enough during cardio.

You've gotten this advice before. It's good advice - so use it. :)
