Hi ladies,

I just got my test result back today and I'm lil confused. The reason I've done this bc I don't have my period . It's been lil over 50 days now and I'm not pregnant. I' m 32. exercise every day, 115lb no kids yet. I'm on synthroid 250mg for 7 years - hypothyroid.

ESTRADIOL 649 pg/ml HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your liver enzymes are a bit high (but not like scary high) which does suggest the organ is experiencing some stress. Since the liver removes estrogens from the body, the elevated estradiol could be due to some hepatic dysfunction.

do you have your billirubin and/or alk phosphatase counts as well? Are you experiencing any upper right quadrant abdominal discomfort? Are you bowel movements regular and is your stool gray or very light brown?

CREATININE 0.76 norma 0.58 - 1.06 mg/dl
Glucose 89 normal 65-99
Testosteron total 14 normal 2-45 ng/dl
FSH 6.3 in range

bowel movement regular, stool is normal, no abdominal discomfort

what kind of stress it could be? Does it mean that those values for Estradiol are OK? Does it mean Im ESTROGEN dominant?

Those other two values I asked about provide further information on the health of your liver, and it's good news that are both normal. That suggests your liver is probably fine, but is showing some signs of a bit of stress.

250mcg is an unusually big dose of synthroid and it is probably directly responsible for your elevated estradiol levels. Jacked up estradiol and menstrual changes appear to be rather common side effects of big doses of synthroid. If a prescribing doc ordered your blood work but hasn't decreased your dose I'd ask about cutting it down. If you're self medicating, I'd decrease it.

thank you, will check. Never had problem with this dosage. I actually tapered down synthroid already- from 300. I have never had problem with period till now.
