Classy Skank
( 4servings- 40g protein - 8 g Carbs- PER SERVING)
4 PCS. Eye of the Chuck Steak ( total 1-1/2 pounds)
1 tsp. All-purpose flour
1 tsp. Olive Oil
1 tsp. Garlic- minced
1 can ( 14 oz) Stewed tomatoes
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp Oregano - dried
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
On a large plate, coat steaks with flour, including edges!
Using a mallet pound steaks until they are 1/2 inch thick.
Heat oil in skillet- Add garlic and steaks.
Brown both sides of steaks.
Transfer steaks into Dutch oven OR LARGE casserole dish.
Add tomatoes and cover.
Cook steaks for 1 hour. After 45 minutes add basil,oregano,salt and red pepper. Return to oven for 15 minutes. Spoon sauce over steaks before serving!
