Great guy indeed....He gave up on his own terms when he still was on top of the game..

If the outcome of NYG-Green bay game would have been different, I think he would have still played..

Agreed!

That's what I thought, but I don't think his decision rested on that game...According to an article I read he was quoted as saying "If anything, losing to the Giants in the championship game gave me motivation to return."
In that same article he says he "can still physically play the game, he is just mentally exhausted."

true gentleman athlete. i felt great the giants won because i love the giants but got zero satisfaction beating favre. beating romo and brady was wonderful. not favre. even my dad said it was a great win but unfortunate for the favre factor.

Cool thread. I would've thought he would've been disappointed with the finish of this last season and wanted to return for one more, but only he knows when its best for him to call it quits.
