lol, at first I thought it said "TBOL" on it.

i just started a project of taking an old electric guitar and using the electronics from a guitar hereo guitar to make a "real" looking guitar

sorry bro, I can't have any appreciation for this at all...why not take the time to learn your real guitar? GH seems fun, but its like lifting metal weights that are hollow and saying you bodybuild.

LES Paul don't let these fags bring you down! I am addicted to this damn game. I have not swapped face plates yet but do have a cool GNR sticker on mine.

The SouthPark vid was damn funny.

I do play some real guitar. I can't play lead on Metallica's One though, but I can with guitar hero!

if you learn guitar on GH does it mean you can really play a guitar? do the skills transfer? if so seems like a good learning tool

Not really, I'd say not at all actually.

For drums on Rock Band, they do teach you some transferrable skills, but for guitar, sadly no.

some songs on guitar hero are harder than playing the real damn guitar

It took about 5 minutes, I had those stickers for a long time, I had to cut them to fit perfectly, but it didn't take a whole lot of effort, plus I needed a way to identify my guitar since my friends have the same one.

+1. guitar hero gets extremely hard on expert on some songs, making the advantage of strings and frets on a real guitar easier to play than those buttons. As a hardcore drummer and never having played rock band until just his last sunday, I got 87% on expert the very first try on Tom sawyer, as I am a huge rush fan and play all their songs for real.
