Personal Training Course

I'm interested in taking a personal training course. I know that ISA is a great course, but not widley recoqnized in Canada. So do you bros know of any other "excepted" personal training course that i can get here in Canada?

Are u looking to just get certified? or actually go to school?

For school (Ontario) George Brown college and Fanshawe have good programs.

don't even bother with anything other than the CSCS or the ACSM.

COL KURTZ - Some people can't do the NSCA CSCS because they don't have a degree in an Exercise Science related field. Though, these people could go for the Ceritified Personal Trainer certification offered by the NSCA. Very good cert. and would definitely get you the PT job you were shooting for.

The cert. I went for was offered by Fitness Resource Associates out of Watertown, MA. They are the company that writes the Personal Trainer Cert. for AFFA. I thought it was a pretty decent cert. though it was very basic. A little too basic for me. I'm currently going to school for Exercise Physiology, so much of what was tought in the FRA cert. was just not detailed enough for me to learn something new from.
