This is the only forum Im on where people actually waste their time with shit like this. How old are you, 15?
 
How can you like or dislike someone you only know through an internet forum? You can agree or disagree/like or dislike their posted opinions but unless you're actually meeting them IRL the whole exercise is academic.

If someone posts shit that I consistently find irritating I just put them on ignore, makes life much easier. If someone has a well articulated opinion I disagree with I may debate them just for my own amusement, but disagreeing with your opinion doesn't mean I necessarily dislike you.

While in person communication is key, in some cases I think you can really get to know someone's character. I genuinely like a few people here and connect with them because they are themselves.

The nef you get her is pretty much the exact same nef you get in person, except I'm a little goofier, maybe a raunchier sense of humor. I've shared personal details, shared triumphs and struggles, etc. I think I've shown enough that people can gauge whether or not they'd like me in person. I feel some others have done the same.

I doubt typo's been around enough or paid enough attention to be able to say the same, but I don't think your post is a blanket truth.

It's my opinion *shrug* My former daughter in law was deeply offended that I said a similar thing about her (basically had no strong feelings one way or the other) because I never met her face to face. I cannot have an emotional connection to a person I do not personally know. I'm not saying others can't ... by the same token, I have come to be very suspicious of potential "internet personalities". I have been told, time and again, that "the way so and so acts on the board is the complete opposite of who they are in real life." Who knows how many people coming onto the forums are engaging in some form of virtual role playing? :whatever:

This shit used to really BUG me, seriously (yeah, sounds a little nuts). That's why I need to just take people's posts at individual face value.

I would agree with all that including the Nef here is the same. Anyone here that I have outside contact with are pretty much the same but that circle is very small.

I understand that. With me at least, a decent number who I interact with from here are my fb friends. I don't share personal stuff on FB, but there's enough there to know I'm not presenting myself falsely here. But as billfred said, it's a fairly small circle.

I use fb more for "work" related purposes than I do personal....it serves a purpose within that community. I don't do twitter, though. Never will.
