Well where do i start. Lets see... Im in the Navy and have become pretty overwight. Im getting ready to get on a ship for 4 months and travel to 8 countries so I have decided against steroids for the time being. So with that being said... Im 5'8" 23 years old and according to the Navy's Body Fat taping theorys 22%BF. I was wondering what ya'll think a great diet and exercise program and or supplements i could take to help me cut down the fat and get into the shape i need to be. I have asked a bunch of buddies and other people in the Navy with me but everyone seems to be experts and shit but they dont ever seem to lose wight or look any better. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thank you

All the info you need is right here on EF bro....

First things first...Forget about steroids untill you have atleast 3-5 years solid training !

what you need to do is this.... read throught this diet section and make a list of food stuffs that will help you cut fat...protein .complex carbs and EFA'.s

then figure out your daily maintenance calories using any of the methods listed on this site or google....take away 500 cals from this and divide up the total into 6 small meals .
you would probably benifit from dividing yor calories like this....50% protein ,30% carbs ,20%fat.

Dont eat junk food and if you must eat some just make it one cheat meal at the end of the week as a reward for eating clean during the week.

next you should search this site for a good beginners program...there is plenty of them listed.

supplements you should get to begin with are a good multi vitamin, fish oil caps and whey protein....there are plenty others but this would be a good start.

when you have come up with a diet and workout routine then post it on EF and the good folks here will help you fine tune it

Good luck !
