overtraining on cycle

Im in week 8 of a 12 week cycle and I suddenly have felt a drop in my energy levels. My coach thinks maybe it’s a lack of quality sleep, as everything I have been doing is on point diet and AI. I was thinking of adding 1 extra rest day to my routine as I have been going 6 days a week for 8 weeks. Any thoughts or experiences like this?
 
Absolutely take an extra day off here and there when needed. When you are really feeling it, you can even take a week of or do a "deload" week with light weights. What you are really doing is learning to listen to your body. That will become especially important the older you get.
