its a toshiba..and i do plan on upgrading to the full 2gigs..thats what it holds...thanks for the info..
 
memory from crucial and other places are dirt cheap compared to what most big stores sell it for...and i love how they always push those extended warranties for like 200$...any component on any computer is dirt cheap and takes minimal computer knowledge to replace...I know a great site for accessories if your intrested let me know...ill hook you up...
 
the only sub-par thing on the laptop is the video card... the "shared" part of the memory will hurt you really bad if you plan on doing anything but videos... it's normal, though since the GPU is the second most expensive component in any high-level machine.

is there a way to upgrade the video card...I thought you could but i dont think so anymore.

No i did not pay for XP PRO my friend is the IT manager at a bank and hooks me up...not sure what version of office i have ..I htink is office XP
