Opening Week In the NFL

Weather you are a Rep/Dem/Other it was pretty damn cool to have President bush do the opening coin toss for the 1:00 games. I was laughing my ass of at seeing Aikman and Johnson as game callers during the Baltimore/Chicago game. If the NYG lose tonight then the NFC east will open 0-4, which is probably what will happen with the giants opening in Denver. We will probably see a rematch of the Eagles/Rams game in the playoffs, which would be cool given the closeness and play of the game.

Raiders vs Chiefs...
Eating Dinner at the end of the game.
Less than 2 min and the Chiefs tie it up.
My lovely wife starts talking trash about my Raiders.
I am quiet and say nothing, only giving her "the LOOK".
Raiders return the KO and being it back past the 50 yd line.
Wife stops talking trash for a moment.
Another fantastic 30 yd pass and they are within FG range.
Janakowski barely puts it through to bring the Raiders over the top with a just few Seconds left.
Silence from across the table from her and a big BWAAHHHAHAAA from me.
Later that night I have to console her on the loss by her CowBoys.
Football is such a family sport....

wodin... correct your statement please... 124 total yards of offense... carter threw for 34??? hehe, how does that happen? that has to be a modern day record.

i am personally pissed off about the ravens game.. i picked a 10-7 finish or something close to that, and them fuckers added a td to ruin my prediction.

Yes mb the offense was horrible, but the defense was pretty good. It's something to build on..you know what it's like to have your team suck. You look for the good points.

I was suprised that the Eagles skipped the fumble recovery drills this season. Plus Andy Reed added a whole person to his belt line in the off season.

Yeah quincy carter truly was unbelievably bad. Overthrowing everything. Vick did the same thing though, and its his first game so i'll cut him some slack. Not much though, because i cut him 3 years of slack at Georgia and he never got any better, at all. We'll see though, Good defense at Dallas though. Same ole bucs too. People picking them for the super bowl every year need to get a damn clue. Same worthless offense.

OH MY GOD, i think reid went out to eat with tra thomas and hollis thomas a few times... he is a ball now!!!

that play is buggin me more and more... hampton and carver (two rookies) wanted to be heroes instead of setting it up. they would have been heroes just by falling on that ball.

i also didnt like that cover 2 on the play to bruce to set up the win... vincent fakes a blitz, then has to retreat to get back to bruce.... then lets him go and moore is a second late getting there.

Yeah they should have blitzed on that play rather than faking it. I have two die hard eagles buds here and we talk about all the games and they both said they wanted to toss cookies over the missed fumble recovery. I can remember when I was in college doing about a hundred drop and cover drills one day because I tried to do the same thing once. I bet there are a couple of rookies are going to be sick of hitting the ground at about 3:00 tomorrow. LOL!!!
