On The Road Training Suggestions

In June I need to travel for work for about 2-2 1/2 months. I won't have access to a gym most of the time and need hotel room ideas for fitness. Nothing dirty here, folks! lol

If you've read my log you know where I'm at. Just thought I'd put this as a separate topic if anyone else is looking for ideas. I will be active and have some cardio things available outdoors but that's about it. I was thinking this is a time to bring in the Insanity DVD's? I am still wanting to drop fat but I really do NOT want to lose any muscle I've gained and would love to keep toning at least.

Basic pushups, planks, squats? Should I bring a band? Better dvd suggestions? Circuit or ideas? Love to hear them to keep me going!

Look ahead.. When I spent a week in Vegas a few weeks ago I googled the hotel and saw pics of what the gym looked like...from that I told my coach and he actually said it's not bad going off your plan a bit. So I literally just made up a circuit each day, incorporated some of my favorite moves that I don't do anymore, etc. And he was right, I had some nice workouts. Also made up some cardio workouts for the treadmill

A guy in there a lot actually brought his own little DVD player and did Insanity..it was good for him but sucked for everyone else lol because he kinda took up room we needed. You should be able to do it in your room tho.

Don't stress...if you'd like, you have my email, so send me pics of your fitness center you'll be using and I'll help you come up with a workout. :)

As far as I know...there isn't one with equipment. There are some mats and two treadmils and a bike. So from the weight lifting side of things I'm a little panicked!

Push ups, squats, lunges, crunch...old school I guess?? lol At least I will still be in cutting phase, but I am concerned about loosing muscle. It's close to 2 1/2 months before I see my gym again. I know I'll be active...there is some rowing on the water, lots of swimming...just not what I'm used to.

Thanks Psizzle...totally hear you on the change from what I've been doing is good. I can make up some circuits too. Maybe bring a band for some resistance...?

If it were ME I wouldn't stress, not like you're going away for 3 months...

I'd bring bands and insanity. All the pushups and squats and stuff in insanity will be great...do the bands for an extra pump if you'd like

Ok whoops just read your original post. So 2-2.5 months? Hmm...

No gyms around there? If not still do what I said...insanity would be good...knowing me I'd buy a set of dumbbells lol but unless you're going to some abandoned town in a country the world has forgotten about, there HAS to be a gym yo

Ha! Ya...that's actually a good idea. I'll probably buy some weights down there because I may go nuts without them...there has to be some. I know very little about my location but I know there is some North American like places that mimic a Walmart...gonna try to do some more research.

Don't know much about this RushFit and there's another program like it that is MMA workouts? Bring some power yoga DVD's down. Insanity...yikes...I shouldn't get 'soft' just probably won't see muscle growth. It could be a good switch for me though. Trick my body. Been doing somewhat the same thing for 5 months (I mix up the training, food...but you know what I mean. )

You really won't see muscle growth with the low cals anyway. So anything, even body weight exercises, would help maintain.

^^ true story Cali. You're only gonna grow if you're eating over your maintenance.
