Omnadren 250 - Lot # 20201

Xtreme2001

New member
I just picked up some Omnadren 250, Lot # 20201. exp date 02.2004. They have the letter Y. The writting is in black and there is a white dot on the neck. I have look everywhere to check if they are real and no luck.

Xtreme, this is straight from the Omna expert:

"Sorry but 20201's aloing with 10500's are fake. The amp is smaller than usual and the labels come off easily. The lot numbers are printed as well. I would get my money back.

Cheers "

Look at the expiration date on it. Is the text printed nice and clear and perfectly lined up? If so, then it's probably a fake as he said. The text of the expiration date should be stamped on and the lettering should not be perfect, some letters and numbers should be slightly higher or lower than others.

Yes they look like the one in the pic. They have the white dot...

The label does not peel off easy. Also the 2 0201 (the 2 is bolded)

Also 02 . but not the 2004.

they have a pink line under Jelfa S.A.

When I scored the top the ink smudged on the amp.

Can someone post a pic of the real VS fake please.

OK, bud, here's a pic of a fake. I did not take this pic, and I cannot take credit for it. It's from an awesome bro on another board.

Notice the expiration and lot. The printing is perfect and printed on. A legit omna will not have perfect print, it will be a tad blurred and not lined up so well, stamped on.

If you look at The Terminator's link (thanks, man!) you'll see on the amp on the far right the 06 and the 2002; the 6 and the 2's are not in perfect alignment with the 0's. That's a legit Omna amp.

Bro you wanna look at T's pic again..it's a front shot. No?? how did you see the date??? As for the pic you posted there is not white dot...mine don't look like the one you posted but like the terminators. When you aligned do you me a larger font perhaps? or bolded?

Sorry, bud, I was thinking of this pic:
OmnaZa_lg.jpg

Now you can see the difference in the data printing... if you look closely.

Offhand I would say that they are real, but without seeing them its hard to say...counterfeiters are pretty good with omna's so it's gonna be hard to tell without actually seeing them. If you grow like me though you can shoot 2 amps in the first week and you will know...

Thanks Terminator and bebaumax for your help!!!

Xtreme, not a problem, bud. There is a way to tell, though, bud, and it's all in those dates on the side. Look at Terminator's last pic, and look CLOSELY at the numbers and letters, see how they are not perfectly lined up? What I mean is, if you drew a straight line underneath them, it would not touch all the numbers and letters, or it would cut the bottom of some of them off. Now, look at the fake I posted. You could draw a line right under those numbers/letters for the expiration date and it would touch the bottom of all the numbers/letters perfectly evenly. That's how you can tell. If your dates are stamped on (uneven) and not printed (perfectly even), then your gear is legit.

That's the opposite of how i would have thought it would be- good to know though :)

I just got 200 amps of omna sust, and now i am a bit worried that they are fake. Can you explain to me how i can BE SURE if they are real or fake.

Most have the lot# 41002, and Exp date of 10.2005.

The rest, which is not too many have lot# 10802, and Exp date of 08.2005

They also have a white dot on the neck.

I really appreciate the help, Thank you and take care.

M56M, go back up and read my last post about the expiration dates. Do yours look "stamped" on or "printed" on as part of the original printing of the label? Also, which picture (there are a couple in this thread) do your amps most resemble?

thanks bro.

I'm not sure which pic you were referring to either. But they should look like these.

Well they look alot like these, but if they are fake they should look like them. SO i am still at square one bro. so if i could draw a line under the numbers and the letters, then they should go through some of them, not allign perfectly? well, i know the if i tried to allign it with the # are not perfectly with the letters. SO thats good? But i am not sure if the years and the month do? should does not allign also?

Thanks bro.

M56M, if they look like the ones in Terminator's pic, then I'd say you're good to go. Look at the amp on the far left of that pic. Notice how the 3 clearly dips below the other numbers there? You said yours aren't perfetly lined up, so they sound legit. Unless the fakes have been fixed to look perfectly like the real ones, which I've not heard of anyone having done that yet.

Hi guys. I was also cheated with the fake stuff on bebaumax's pic. The numbers aren't the same, but they gear is the same. Lot n.:20202, exp.:2005.03 anyone knows what does this fake contains? Im curios about what I have used :(

how common are fake omnas? do all fakes have the numbers pritned on? what about the dot, i dont see any dots in the pics either.
