I have reached 160pds on the scale !! Ok....so I am thinking.... should I just go ahead and aim toward 180 or so.....and compete in the big girl category?? :D

Holy cow..... 160 just blows my friggin mind ..... gonna have to be some major cutting going on shortly....bump up the thread again Spatts :rolleyes: hee hee
 
One comp I am looking at, for womens open division, says heavyweight-over 122pds..... :D Think I am too heavy?? hee hee
 
Are you done cutting and within 2 days of comp?

I dropped close to 7 lbs of water in 1 week. Cutting will get you down to weights you never thought you'd see again .... at least not since I was 12 ... LMFAO!

I know a guy who is 260 right now and competing in April -- he wants to get down to 210??

Heavyweight at 122 pounds? Goodness, I'm 135# at 5'4" and think I'm puny! ;)

Sassy, I'm curious about that... how did you not get dehydrated (cuz can't that be fatal)?

No sassy...not in a cutting phase for another month or so....just bulking and growing baby :D I thought I would get up to 180 or so......then cut down to 160 :D Hee hee......
 
Havent had the b/f done in about 4 months or so....was 14% way back when. I know......once the b/f comes off, hey, I will be able to see some major definition :)

Like I said, I am still putting on some muscle....all good things come in time :) Will get my b/f tested soon though, just for shits and giggles :D
 
I'm pretty sure heavy weight is 135. 122 - hell I couldn't get into that category if I chopped off both legs.

This is ONLY during the week before a comp and comp day. The point is get all the subcutaneous water out of your system so you look tight & defined. Most people start water depleting 2-3 days before - cut from like 2 gal of water to 1 gal to 1/2 gal to sips. I also used sodium loading for a few days I think at the beginning of the week and then cut that out too.

Was I dried out -- you bet. Every one of my pix from my first comp shows me literally chewing the insides of my mouth because it was so dry. Honestly the last 2 days of water depletion gave me a real good feel for what its like to ration water. I.e. I had a 1/2 liter bottle of water to last me all day - every sip I took reminded me that I only had so much left. Talk about stress. (Oh yea, it was also the middle of August in S. Florida and required a 4 hr drive to get to the competition while wearing long pants & sleeves to avoid getting ProTan all over my car... oh the horror stories I could tell....) Chewing gum was the only saving grace -- except that I was so dry I would literally suck all the moisture out of the gum so there was nothing left but a lump of mushy nutrasweet or whatever they put in sugarless gum. Ick.

Of course dehydration is a bad thing, but I think most bb's have problems w/ maintaining electrolyte balance - you hear about competitors passing out on stage - usually due to heavy diuretic use - you dump water and everything else too.
