As I mentioned, their human rights record alone makes them as a county a piece of shit. Their only friends would be other countries where less than 70% of women are literate, homosexuality is punishable by death, and religious police roam the street.

Yea sounds like a real hoot, guess that's why we have millions of moderate (& extremist - they love the Western benefits / decadent lifestyle as well!!1) Arabs / Muslims migrating to the Western world to seek a better life for their families as opposed to the opposite scenario lol.

The US is in financial crisis and Saudia Arabia is the richest (one of the richest) countries in the world...they have some of the smartest scientists, mathematicians, thinkers, etc....you really think they are just puppets in the hands of US gov.?

If they are not getting their fair share of the deal, they would do a lot of things differently....I love it how the US always thinks they are the center of the universe...it's too funny

Not what I was implying at all. Just that it is an arrangement, not necessarily a "great" relationship. Both the Saudi Royal Family and the US Gov't turn the other cheek and look away at the things they both dislike about each other. It's simply a business arrangement, which both benefit from.

Cost of living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia does not appear to be too cheap, relative to other average cities (i.e. not Tokyo, London, NYC, etc). Same ballpark as Dallas, Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Charlotte, Houston, etc.
