has anyone heard about this or used this method of contraception?

looking for opinions/views/experiences...

i read about this in a men;s magazine , men even claim they like the feel of the ring inside the woman during sex

and they claim they help reduce mood swings!!!

Oh no so much easier I swear--you just put it in and leave it there. The first month I kept sort of checking it--thinking it would fall out or go to far up or something. It doesn't really go all that far in but it stays there even thru sex. I have heard some men can feel it but I never asked mine and he never says anything so, I'm guessing he doesn't even know.

Anyway, nothing to remember (or forget to pack) AND you can leave in for four weeks instead of three and still be covered (but not get your pd). I think it's great, haven't had any sides and was having a hard time loosing wt on the pill, when I started the Nuvaring dieting efforts were rewarded much better.

This is my second month (almost third)--I haven't checked it since I put it in was just worried initially--it comes with this little day counter so you know when to insert a new one--I put a magnet on the back and put it on the fridge!!

I dunno, I've used a diaphragm & the sponge way back when... did NOT like either at all. Granted, this thing is much smaller, less intrusive, but I'm still not wild on the idea of putting things there & having to leave them.

Yeah - still have to deal with those hormones. I don't quite get why there are all these other hormonal contraceptive options (depo provera, norplant, etc.) that offer the same method of contraception with often similar potential side effects - sometimes worse (can't stop depo), & the added benefit is just that you don't have to remember to take a pill. I just don't see how it is that difficult! Don't you brush your teeth every morning when you wake up?
