Numbness in thumb and arms sometimes

It’s starting again. When my traps and shoulders get some size on them my fingers start to feel numb from time to time. My left thumb is about 20% numb all the time.

If I tilt my head to the left at times my left arm goes numb. What the hell? If it were a pinched nerve at the spine it would be all the time. I never really heard of muscle pinching a nerve. Anyone have something similar in the past?

have exactly same thing...get it every time I put on size....nerves are not it....if it were nerves the muscle would atrophy-had that too- not from AAS/GH....maybe someone else could shed more light on this....the skeletal muscles when they are inhanced, take up more space on the body-thus it can impede circulation....this I do know- and is what Iam feeling...nerves are very painful and do not allow the muscle to work properly- very weak, wont pump, and little control....you sound as tho you have same thing as I, and that is the muscle circulation is impeded....Iam sure there is more to it- this is a common symptomology.....massage and stretching will help alot....

about a year ago I went to several doctors for the exact same thing only it was my entire hand that would go numb. after a bunch of tests they told me a had disrupted my syatic nerve and sid there was nothing they could do. I got some vics if the pain got to bad in my shoulder but it went away after a coupke of weeks. it wierd though I know what you mean by tilting you head and making you body go numb. Its worth it to go see the doc.

Strange, I would have guessed something with blood flow. I get really weird twitched in my hand, where sometimes my some of my fingers will start moving side to side on there own. Doesnt happen that often, but seems to happen more when I am on.

I had the same thing happen to me. I could barely hold a phone without my hand and arm going numb on me. It happened right about the time I tore my rotator cuff, and I thought it might have been connected, but it wasn't. I went to a few doctors, and finally one thought it might be carpal tunnel syndrome, which he said was common with lifters. I got a brace that I now sometimes wear when I sleep, which keeps my wrist straight, and it went away for the most part. Maybe you might want to try one?

After I gained a ton of size in a short period of time I had lots of trouble with numbness. If i slept with my arms anywhere but flat by my sides, they would be completely numb in the morning. It went away with time, but there are still certain positions where I can be sure to feel some tingling or numbness.

AAS are known to affect CNS....test will help repair nerve damage to a small degree...GH will work better to repair damaged nerves, these are the only two that have benefits in repairing nerves.... so I would tend to think that the nerves could be over stimulated to a degree by our cycles???? also, Ive had NCV/ and a host of other nerve tests done...one thing the doc told me, was that I had carpal-tunnel (sp) really bad....he said it was from heavy lifting for so many years....MMMMM?????

This is caused by neural compression , and it is most common when a fast increase in muscle mass is observed. The example of numbness when turning the head is a typical example of brachiallis plexus compression by some of the neck muscles, but going down there are multiple nerves that can get compressed and this will affect the sensitive area that this nerve or trunk of nerves is responsible for. As time pass, some accomodation occur and symptoms usually become milder until disappearance, but eventually anti inflammatories and physiotherapic measures like increasing flexibility are required.
When the entire hand is affected, You should consider carpal tunnel syndrome, that usually affects HGH users, when an increase in muscle mass, water and maybe thickening of membranous tissues and bones in the wrist cause a compression of the inervation of the hand, making it numb.
BTW, the cyatic nerve could never be responsible for hand numbness, since it has a completely different localization from the arms and is responsible for inervating much of the posterior area of the legs.

RIO awesome...thanks...correct hands are affected by c-spine and thorasic in upper levels....I know Iam fused on 5 levels from a crash.....had extensive nerve damage to my right side upper torso....about 90% recovered thanks to GH/AAS...

Yep, arms and hands are inervated by nerves that come out of the brachiallis plexus, and that is generated between C4 or 5 and T 1 or 2.
Glad to know you got better, hey... good to remind AAS have actual medical purposes, LOL.
