Not fitness related - got GREAT news today!

This semester I was enrolled in the culminating class for my masters degree - writing the thesis! Yikes. I worked on it, wrote a gazillion pages with a gazillion references, turned it in in June, and have been seriously stressing about it since then, lol. I have been worried it would be rejected and I would either have to rewrite it or (worse) defend it.

BUT, I JUST got the news it was completely approved! I officially and FINALLY have my Masters Degree! YAY

Of course, it means a WHOPPING $1500 more a year, lol (approximately, not sure on exact numbers). But the satisfaction of HAVING it totally outweighs the piddly $$ I get for having it.

CONGRATS DAISY! BUX IS BUX so I'm excited you got another $1500/yr! That is awesome and no small deal to get a thesis completed and submitted. I followed a thesis track for my MS CS but bailed out when my research project was cancelled by IBM and had no funds to pursue - I switched to non-thesis and instead took an extra semester of classes and just got done w/ it all.

I'm so happy for you! These are the subtle but major milestones in our personal lives.

That is an enormous accomplishment. It seems that it would be hard enough just to get your masters degree. You did it while working 2 jobs (your career and being a mom).
