No campfires this weekend where we are going camping

Half the fun of going camping for me is playing with the fire all night and then waking up at the crack of dawn and getting it toasty for the rest of our camp group. This drought that AZ is having sucks. My sister is getting flooded out in Illinois and the damn mountains here in AZ are dry as a bone.

Well at least they are stocking the creek with trout on Thursday, altho not having a campfire to cook them in won't be the same.

NAAH. CAMPFIRES ARE NO FUN. WAKE UP ALL SMOKEY AND NASTY. I NEVER CAMP WITH A FIRE, UNLESS I'M PRACTICING SURVIVAL [THEN I NEED IT TO COOK SHIT I'VE CAUGHT]

Sure you can't have one even with a permit? You might check on that. I am in California and just got back on Monday from Wheelers Gulch. Needed a permit is all.

I am positive. Paper today had a big article on all the closures. Shit load of the National Forsets are closed completely and all of them have campfire restrictions (mostly there will be NO campfires)
Here is the posting on the White Mountain web site:

For the fish you can use a solar powered cooker or the manifold method if the truck is nearby :D

LOL Well I do take a camp stove. I also just got back from buying 2 propane heaters. 40 degrees is reallllll cold when you are used to 70 degrees.
