I just got out of the navy, and am finally able to use some steroids. I am in awesome shape as is, but I have definitly reached a point where I dont think I can do anymore on my own (bad genetics...). I currently work out six days a week. Right now, I run 3 miles a day- 6 days a weeks and moderate weights, focusing one body part a day. I know I need help with my workout routine, so I joined a Ballys Center and Im meeting with a trainer three days a week. We have our first meeting tonight, and hes going to get me doing HIIT, and some serious heavy weights. I eat a very clean body builders diet. Egg whites, yogurt, oatmeal, chicken breast, extra whey... 6 small meals a day. 1500-1900 calories a day. I have gotten in the best shape that I think I can do naturally. I am 5'7", and 135 pounds. I am really muscular, and have great definition... But I dont think I will ever be able to get really 'cut'. My brother is really experianced with the male perspective, and he is reccomending Anavar. Can I take anavar and clen at the same time? What do y'all reccommend? -Kelly

So is your goal to lose fat, gain muscle or compete in a 3 mile race??? Anavar is good for gaining muscle while lifting heavy and will help you retain muscle while dieting (while lifting heavy), but it is not a "fat-burner". Losing fat requires an optimal diet and training program, and gaining muscle will almost certainly require and optimal diet and training program even with Anavar. 1500-1900 calories is not a lot....

I want to gain muscle, and increase my strength. I have gotten into a rut where its hard to increase the amount that I am able to lift. I just started working with a trainer 3 days a week. Hes put me on a heavy weight routine, and HIIT. I have 13% body fat right now. I wouldnt mind dropping a couple more %, but it is not a high priorty at this point. I am willing to do what it takes to build my muscle up- but I dont know any diffrent than what I am doing right now! I try an have at least 150 grams of protein every day, and at least 4 serving of good carbs. The only fat I eat is 2 tbs. of natural peanut butter at lunch time.

I am starting my Anavar cycle tomorrow. Is there anything else I can be doing?

That is NOT a lot of fat...fat is not bad, esp good fats.

How long have you been following this routine/eating plan? I find it unlikely you have reached your "natural potential" ..... I truely don't think ANYONE can reach their natural potential - there is ALWAYS something else to tweak, something else to try, something to switch up. You even mention being in a "rut" - this shows that you are not changing things enough, that you are allowing your body to stagnate becasue of lack of variety - both in workout and diet.

How old are you?

Define further gain muscle .... that is too broad. About how much muscle? Do you want to compete? What SPECIFICALLY are your goals? Long term, short term....

I am 22 years old. I have been eating totally healthy for 6 months, no fast food, no fried foods, low sugar, low fat, no sweets, no soda, etc for 6 months. I have only been eating my totally clean diet for a month or so. I love peanut butter, and almonds... Do I need to me eating MORE fat than whats in my chicken breast and spoonfuls of peanut butter? If I am trying to build muscle, should I be taking in more calories that 1700-1900? I know thats hard to anwser without really detailed info.

By being stuck in a rut, I meant that I had the same 8-10 exercises that I repeat every few days and run at the same speed everyday... My workouts were not challenging anymore, but I wasnt really strong enough to increse my weights!

I just had my first workout with my personal trainer last night. He is great, I havent worked out like that in over a month! He gave me practically no rest time between sets, and had me doing variation of exercises that challenged me to the point where I wanted to quit lifting, turn around and slug him! Standing bicep curls with one foot up in the air, squats with my feet streched a few feet out in front of me... All kinds of crazy stuff, but I think its just what I need!

I guess I have my workout under control... My goal is to be able to noticablly increase the amount of weight that I am able to lift. And muscles- I want more and I want them bigger! I dont mean to compete professionally or even as an amateur. I just want to look so buff that people I dont know say, "Wow, look at her arms!" Im greedy for attention I guess!

Several things I can be pretty sure of without much more detail. You absolutely need more fat, specifically DHA and EPA from fish oil. Try to get around 5-6 grams of this per day in addition to your other fats. This is a bare minimum of fat intake for someon trying to gain muscle, and is true whether or not you use Anavar. I am also confident you will need more calories to get maximum benefit from you training. Again this is true with or without Anavar. How many more calories I'm not sure, maybe try initially aiming for around 2000-2200 calories and keep an eye on skinfolds, bodyweight and strength. Lastly, no matter how good your trainer is, you will need to 'periodize' your strength training if you want to continue to gain strength and muscle.
