new to working out

greetings....

My name is Brandy and I am in need on some advise on beginning to get fit.
I'm a mother of 2 and can't seem to get rid of my 11 month olds baby fat. I have always been thin and in great shape without ever working out.
When I gave birth I was 157 now I'm down to 127. I know that I'm by no means fat but I want to be healthy and tone in order to keep up with my kids.
My body does not react well to diet pills so I'm loking for a natural approach.
Where do I start? What do I eat?
Please help!!!!
I basically eat crap. Today is the day that I start my quest.
I rode the bike for 25 min then did the elip. for about 15 and tried to do crunches (killer).
I'm 5'5 and not sure what my bmi is. My arms are fine from carrying around my kids I just need to get rid of my fupa belly and a little on my theighs.
I have idea what i need to do and I just moved to Florida from Chicago so I have no friends to work out with or give me advice.
help

Welcome!! Check out the stickies at the top of the page....as in the new to EF? Start here...

Welcome to EF & congrats on your little 'uns! After having 2 kids you've earned the right to have whatever body you want -- however you are well on your way to getting your body back it sounds like. When people say "i never used to have to work out" or "I've always been in great shape" until somethign happens- well 2 kids, an extra 30-50 lbs per kid and the whole hormone rollercoaster 2x as well as the "aging" that has occurred over that time span will take its toll on your body as well.

Getting into a complete "fitness" lifestyle - diet, training, cardio / activity will make it so you can kick your kids' ass in the gym when they are 19 (I recently saw this at my gym --- you gotta love the mom who can out-pull-up her 19 yr old son...! keeps the son humble and also gives him an extra lesson in learning to respect women..!) Its a great way to make you a stronger, better, more vibrant person for yourself & your family .. in addition to being one hawt momma!

Definitely suggest you peruse the stickies at the top of the board, particularly the "New to EF .. START HERE" and "TOP THREADS" for all sorts of info to give you some background & context and some ideas on where you might want to start!

Welcome to EF! I agree with the ladies previous posts...

I also think you already know your #1 problem, I highlighted it above...

IMO, seems like you need some weight training and I'm assuming here, but try not to fall into the old misconception that cardio & crunches = weight loss...
Healthy Diet and lifting some weights will work wonders...

Thanks so much for he guidance.
I'm going to get right to the reading and change my diet.
I just don't see how I can eat so many times a day when I can't even find the time to pee alone. I started working out today. I did about 45 minutes of cardio and then tried to lift weights. I'm clueless on how to do it but I guess I'll figure it out in time. Also I have implants and am a little worried about the whole popping issue. I's just a fable right?

I believe that is just BS when you consider the fact that about 90% of all top level fitness/figure/BB chicks have implants.
