New Deadlift PR! (with video)

500 lbs!
Previously 475 lbs.

This past weekend I lifted in a small meet. Opened in the deadlift with 450, got it easily. 2nd attempt went for 500 (25 lb PR) and made it! Didn't seem to have too much trouble with it, either. Third attempt I went for 515. Got it almost to lockout but couldnt quite manage to lock it out.

Video of 500 PR and 515 attempt.

Any comments on my form?
Back rounded some on both 500 and 515. Need to work on that. Also, it looks like I started out with my back rounded a little bit on the 515.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the comments.

Here are some pics for anyone who can't see the vids.

6'2", ~250 lbs. 500 squat, 295 bench, 500 dead. Dont have a clue about measurements.

Your upper back is lacking strength. Are you beforming any supported T-bar rows or shrugs in your routine?
I'm doing lots of rows, havent been doing shrugs, though.

Impressive lifts, Good for you!!!!!!!

For traps maybe wide grip shrugs with bb, using same width as your deads.-valerie

Glutes are much more involved in lockout than upper back.

He also may have missed not because of weakness, but due to the fact that meets are very draining. I've missed a lift for my thrid deadlift attempt after smoking a weight for the second that was only 10 lbs lighter.

Nice pr man..

Add those bands to your deadlift routine!!!!

Reverse bands are nice for where you missed that attempt. Had you been a tad quicker you would have blown through that portion of the lift...

Strengthen those abs and reverse hypers even more...don't forget to push those hips fwd and 'screw the bar' at the top.
