okay I wasnt really retired but have had a lot of guys off the board asking where I have been lately....I've been absent from here but not the gym...lol
anyway, busy with young kids and new career but am now 4 weeks out from a show so thought I would throw up a few pics
Mods, I know this goes in the pics forum but would appreciate it if you didnt move it right away as all the guys I know frequent this forum....thanks

I am holding tons of water as I am a human sponge, and these were taken before bed, but gives you an idea....brought up the weak areas enough that I figure its time to hit the stage again

I am currently running eq/var/t400 and 4iu a day of gh. The gh is responsible for much of my water retention, I bloat like crazy off it, kinda weird, but I love the long term effects, about to bump it to 6iu for the last 4 weeks. Will drop the test at 2-3 weeks out and will coast in on var/eq and gh.
Omega, I dont come off all that often....when on I run hcg at 500iu 1-2x per week during my cycle, then the typical clomid/nolva post cycle stuff. If I am not bulking/dieting then I tend to coast on 200-300mg of test, I honestly dont think I need it to keep my size, just feel better on it.
I didnt take any wheels pics as these I took for myself to see how I was looking, and my legs always tend to be lean, but I'll take a pic tonight and post it up

He does so much "bent over work" that is allowed him to get those tie'ins through the lower lat/lowerback umbars to show while even standing relaxed

In those pics I was somewhere between 210-215lbs at 5'8", not sure of bodyfat, under 8% for sure but havent had it checked, I just know its where I need to be at 4 weeks out

If i had to pick a weak point i would say your lats are maybe a touch small compared to the rest of the hugeness?

I usually have something professional done every time I compete...havent planned anything so far but am thinking about it...if I am going to work that hard its nice to have some decent pics...lol

Im actually not working with anyone, did the last show by myself and won it so figured I would do this one with my own diet....am using Rudy(head judge) for the last week to help dial me in....glad you like the mirror and taps....lol, its part of the luxury onsuite I built this year, not shown in the pic is the 2 person heated jacuzi tub

I was planning to do that show then June came around all hell broke loose with the CBBF and I decide not to prep at all tell the shit was figured out by the time it was I didn't have enough time to get ready. Part my own fault cause yeah I am to far from last contest weight.

Actually I could see the tub somewhat in the one pic it looks amazing dude didn't know you were also a handy man. If you were a tad closer I would take those pics for yeah.
 
I was waiting for that stuff to clear up too before I competed...plus the shifts with the new career kind of blow, wasnt sure if I was going to be able to contest diet on this schedule...
I'm not that much of a handiman, so I paid my dad to come in and build it all, the tub rocks, fits too people, 12 jets, heater, all that stuff....if I wasnt always at work keeping the world safe I might even use it...lol

isee you use the old method still in pct,,,clomid/nolva combo.........have you tried sustain alpha or any other otc stuff.....if so pls share your favs..

nope, the clomid/nolva combo along with hcg during my cycles was all I ever needed, I finished cycles as long as 2 years and came off without any issues or lags in test production

You mind posting up your off-season and pre-competition diet? Maybe off-season "Growth" cycle as well.

honestly I have no idea even what his theory is
I have been cycling clomid/nolva since my first cycle in 2001 and have never had any issues, this includes all the regular blood tests that I get, so I have never seen a reason to question whether or not it was safe. Only side I ever got was getting emotional from the clomid...and my wife loves it...lol
 
conan, I have tried every single steroid cycle I could think of over the years, so dont really have offseason cycles. I know what worked for me, and it was basically the enth/deca/dbol ocmbo, never seen anything to match it for size. Over the years I added eq to that mix and was happy with it. A few years ago I stopped growing no matter what I did with training/diet/cycles, so over the last 2 years I added in gh and have seen some changes. In lower doses I look and feel good but dont grow. Last year I ran my usual cycle, enth/deca/eq and added in gh at 8iu a day(8 on training days and 4iu of off days)split up over 2iu shots spaced out over the day....I progressed from that and actually saw weak areas come up for the first time in years.

Offseason I dont have a diet, I aim for 7 meals with at least 50 grams of protein per meal...I dont really count carbs of calories, especially when I was running the gh...lol, but I aim to not go over 10% bf in the offseason. Protein sources are chicken, hamburger, eggs, etc

Contest diet the food changes, but I aim for same macro breakdown....6 meals per day, 50 grams of protein each meal, 50 grams of complex carbs with the first 4 meals...no carbs after dinner time. It tends to work out to around 2800-3000 calories per day

I have been seeing more and more people talk about the superiority of a ketogenic diet, but I could just never follow it. I always loved carbs.

What are your main protein sources and carb sources during contest diet? Do you keep fats very low or you have a decent portion of fats as well?

conan, mine is a 40-40-20 split basically. Carbs are from potatoes and shredded wheat mainly. Protein tends to be egg whites(egg beaters flavoured ones), chicken but mostly hamburger. I cook up ground beef, put it in a strainer and run tons of hot water through it, makes it fat free, leaner than chicken and a whole lot cheaper. Mix in some taco seasoning and you can combine it with anything for decent diet food

Wow thanks a lot man! I get 94/6 ground beef and I will definitely try it with your method. I use a lot of chicken but I prefer the taste and feel of beef.

The shredded wheat is also interesting! I sometimes grab a little baggy of it if I know I'll be without access to complex carbs. Glad to see someone as successful as you doing the same thing.

That is a awesome idea I got to try it plus beef taste so much better then chicken!!
 
I have been gone so didn’t notice your absence ( not that anyone knows who i am )..good to see you around ..thanks for posting up so much good info on your diet and cycles ...it really does help to see people that live what they talk about and not just repeat what they have read here on the boards..are some of the things you are sharing from when you had a trainer or did most of this just come from trial and error. Nothing against trainers I just can’t afford one lol

I have used trainers in the past and thats basically where the macro breakdown of my diet came from. It really is the basis for my current contest diet(thanks laura binetti), but I couldnt stand a lot of the food I had to eat. So I changed tuna and chicken with flavoured egg whites and hamburger cooked this way and it got a whole lot easier. Not to mention some things make me feel fuller than others, so I am always experimenting trying to perfect it all....definitely a lot of trial and error over the years though, and that included my cycles, contest and off season

Dialtone, the pics came about that way as the lighting in my house blows for taking pics so I wasnt going to bother, but that night I was going to bed and noticed I looked pretty good in my bathroom mirror...bathroom wasnt big enough to take them from across the room so I just wanted to duplicate what I saw in the mirror(its not often I look in the mirror and actually like what I see...lol)
