Dear members,
I am 5 feet 9 male and weigh only 58 kilograms. I have been desperately trying to gain weight but nothing ever helps. I eat a lot, still doesn't help. recently I have been trying muscle tech and some multi vitamins. I am 25 by the way.
Suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Whats your diet like?
I eat a lot of boiled rice(3 huge plates a day) and all kinds of cooked meat(chicken, pork, beef and fish).
The funny thing is now matter how much I try to eat I wouldn't gain a single pound. SOme people say maybe it is due to my fast metabolism.

Logical answer is to say... eat more. Until you start getting fat, then cut back a tad, and you've found you're happy medium...

:RADAR it up

if you are truly a hard gainer you could also try to take a couple tablespoons of olive oil down if you can't eat anymore..a lot of my buddies did that when they couldn't gain and it seemed to put them over the edge.

otherwise just eat more and don't shy away from healthy fats!

It really is just as simple as you have to eat more.....individual metabolisms are different. You may require 7000 calories a day to put you past maintainence. Unless you have a medical condition like a hyperactive thyroid, or you have a tapeworm, lol, you can gain weight, it just may be a lot of work.

I am not making assumptions about your diet.....but one thing I notice across the board is that guys who claim to be hardgainers and say they "eat everything in sight" but can't gain an ounce usually aren't eating anywhere near as much as they think they are.....or their mom or girlfriend sees them eat what THEY 'think' is a lot at one sitting and makes a comment.

If you can be more specific about your meals, it would help people give you better advice greatly.

are you eating 3 huge meals a day? pls post your diet so we can take a look and come up with some logical answers.

like biggt said...chances are your not eating as much as you could eat or think your eating. use fitday.com and plug your numbers in their and post your macros

ahem....SQ's, 3 times a week. and drink heavy cream w/ginger ale. mixed equal parts.
