Need help with stomach cramps during my run.

EVERY time I run now I get stomach cramps, its usually during the end of the run and it hurts so bad I have to stop. I know my body and when its pain and when its real pain, and this is real pain. I remember mr. x telling someone to add potassium and to check their diet. Right now, I eat 5 bananas a week and eat clean pretty much all the time. The only changes I've made has been that I've cut out my running from 5 days to 3. I lift hard the other 3 days a week. I dunno whats wrong with me, my left arm is showing a vein i've never seen before. Btw, I've not lost any weight (not trying too either). Any suggestions ? bunny? lifterforlife? anyone?

Try pressing into the area when you first notice it starting and rub straight through. That's how I gat rid of them. Runner's stich - painful fuckers aren't they. You may have to do it more than once.

Did you try those suggestions from last time? Pressing the area while you run, stretching your diaphragm, changing your breathing patterns?
When I run, I breathe to the beat of my feet. Example, in-in, out-out. That's breathe in for 2 steps and breathe out for 2 steps. When you first start do a 3 count until you need to breathe faster.

Whats wierd is that I've never had these problems before and I've been actively running since june 05.
Some pains take a little time to develope. Or you may have subconsiously changed form and your body is saying wtf.

Try those suggestions above and the breathing pattern Victoria mentioned when you run.

Aside from that make it goal to add 50 lbs. to your full squat over the next few months. You're whole cardiovascular system, heart, lungs and legs will a lot stronger and you should be able to breeze through your workout without any cramping at all.

I used to have problems with this but mainly it was because I was out of shape or trying to run with a full stomach.

What I do is breath out every time my left foot hits the ground. Eventually I will switch sides so that I breath out every time my right foot hits the ground. If I ever get any running stitches, I switch to breath out on the foot opposite of the side that is hurting.

I don't know if this is any kind of scientific method, but it works for me. Also, don't eat before you run.

I will have to try the double-breathing victoria mentioned. I've never tried that - it sounds hard.
