I have trying the CKD for bulking with a small carb load on Wed. and a huge carb load from Friday night through Saturday night. I am up to 4800 calories a day and I am putting on a nice 1-2 pounds per week. The problem is my energy is too low. I want to start a a 3 or 4 month regular bulk. How do I go about switching up the diet. Can I just switch to the chicken, flax, tuna and stuff in one day and start adding 25 or so carbs per week. SHould I drop my calories then start my way back up again. If I were to wake up tommorow and start eating all chicken and tuna at about 4800 calories would I gain more weight than the weight I was gaining from the ckd?

I would suggest starting slow: first, you need to switch to lean proteins and EFAs in the diet and add carbs in daily intervals. Day 1, add 25g carbs from oatmeal in the morning and the rest of the day keep about a 50%protein/50%fat intake. Day 2, same as day 1. Day 3-5, add 50g carbs from oatmeal in the morning, 50%protein/40%fats. Day 6-7, add 50g oatmeal in the morning and 30g dextrose post workout w/ some Glucorell-R (ala), this now you can stick to a 50%protein/30%carbs/20%fat diet starting next week.

Thank you Mr. X. You are the best. IS 30% carbs enough to bulk on until January or so? I am so used to eating the bacon and stuff, what kind of fats should I have besides the Flaxseed oil. While I am adding in the carbs, should I still be eating the "bad" fats or should I just start clean and dump that stuff and start with the good fats? My body is used to the high calories so should I stick with the high calories only with the good fats and lean protein. Thanks again

30% carbs should be fine as long as your training and other factors are working into the diet good. The fats you can eat will usually come from meats, oils and anything related. Most of the time you want at least 10% saturated fat intake for proper testosterone production: fats you might want to look into: MCT oil, olive oil, wulnut oil, pumkinseed oil, almonds, all natural peanut butter.

I would suggest eating "good" fats with this diet for the next week or so until your body can make a clean switch. Also, I would stick with the high calories, but I would suggest lowering them about 20%.
