need advice for a female friend....

I female friend of mine is pregnant. She doesn't really work out now, cuz she can't find the time. But anywayz, she's not going to be working anymore, so she'll have more time. What kind of work-out/diet advice can you ladies give? I know she can't weight lift or do much being pregnant and all...but she does have a treadmill at her house. Thanx for the help.

My understanding is that if she were already in the habit of lifting then she could continue to but pregnancy is not the time to start a get in shape campaign. That being said she needs optimum nutrition - her ob will talk to her about this. Walking is absolutely the best thing that she can do, it will make her labor go faster, she will feel better while pregnant etc.

she's not really too out of shape now. She used to workout all the time...but then she got pregnant, had a kid, and now she's pregnant with her second one. (with not much time inbetween to get into it again)

You can do whatever you were doing before...if she really wasnt weight training I would go w/ the walking and some machine lifting at the gym..If she worksout and keeps in shape it will help w/ her pregnancy and delivery.
