Need a wagon...

Looking for a new car, pretty much settled on a Volvo V 70 R, the dealer went to school with my father in law so we get a bunch of goodies for free.
What else should I look at? Anyone have any personal experience with the V 70R? The new v50 looks good and is much kinder on the wallet, but lacks the overall balls to wall feeling you get from the 70R...

Volvos are dope bro, especially for your family, I train a family of 4 that owns a Volvo wagon, they love it, sounds like good thoughts to me. peace

I was kind of yearning for a sedan, being of a certain age and all, but that 70R is FUCKING QUICK! The one i test drove had the 300hp five speed... yum.

Everytime I think of Volvos, I picture skinny Swedish people, naked in a sauna
with their kids, neighbors and pets..

Weird huh ?

I have the now timeless Y-Lifter Snowblower Man image stuck in my head. :lmao:

Just took a Passat Wagon for a ride. Not a bad car at all.

Y: what do you tote the fam around town in?

Isn't the concept of a "family bed" swedish?

**shudder** Family beds are big in my state.

I am afraid to even ask....

Exactly what it sounds like.
A family shares a bed.

New agers and hippies think it helps build a strong family tie.

If you really want the sedan Chef, try the Nissan Maxima or the Infiniti G35. Both are sporty type sedans with plenty of 'balls'. The Maxima would be the cheaper of the 2....

Question for the men on the board: ever wake up with a raging, flint-steel hard-on? With your kids in the same bed? I don't think so.

Family bed = not happening with elevated test, that is for shit-sure.

Passats are very nice indeed...

I have an extended cab Nissan Truck
Mrs Y and the family tote in a GMC Jimmy SUV

2005 and she is due for an upgrade, we are leaning towards
the new Nissan Pathfinder with the Infinity V6 engine and 3rd row seats

I am leaning away from the SUV thing for now: gas here just popped over $6 a gallon.

volvo and passat are both nice cars....the passat is a lot more refined than it's price would suggest

when you say 'wagon' is that the same as an estate car?

I like this one

Technically, I sometimes have a family bed, but thats because I'm a single dad.

I think it's different somehow, although I might just be a hypocrite.

Nissan 16 and 21
Volvo 17 and 25

Not much difference and the Path has lots more room.
Can go offroad,Tow stuff and is $10K cheaper..

And it doesn't finance the family bed economy

I wonder what woody's thoughts are on the whole family bed thing.... probably that it had best be made with 4x4's....
