*Suns aim for 11th straight win against Hornets*
------------------------------------------------
Phoenix (41-17) at New Orleans (31-27) 8:00 pm EST
OKLAHOMA CITY (Ticker) - The Phoenix Suns will try to build off
one of their biggest wins of the season and extend their
season-high winning streak to 11 games Monday when they visit
the New Orleans Hornets, who are trying to bounce back from an
embarrassing setback.
The Suns are coming off an impressive 115-107 road victory over
the Dallas Mavericks, who had won their previous 16 games at
home.
Reigning MVP Steve Nash had 25 points and 11 assists and Boris
Diaw recorded his second career triple-double with 24 points, 10
rebounds and 10 assists for Phoenix, which had four players
with at least 20 points.
The Suns trailed by eight points after three quarters but
outscored the Mavs, 34-18, in the final period to close within
five games of San Antonio for the best record in the West.
Phoenix, which has won 14 of its last 16 overall, had one
11-game winning streak last season, from December 5-26, 2004.
The Hornets have had four days to try and forget about
Wednesday's 89-67 setback to the Los Angeles Clippers, when they
scored an NBA record-low 16 points in the second half.
The Hornets made just 5-of-34 shots in the second half, missing
21 straight attempts at one point, and committed nine turnovers
as they produced a pair of eight-point quarters.
The game will the Hornets' last in Oklahoma City before they
return to New Orleans for Wednesday's contest against the Lakers
- the first game in the Crescent City since it was ravaged by
Hurricane Katrina.
