*Knicks' nightmare season continues in Milwaukee*
-------------------------------------------------
New York (15-43) at Milwaukee (29-29) 8:30 pm EST
MILWAUKEE (Ticker) - Steve Francis hoped to turn around the New
York Knicks' fortunes. Instead, he has joined the team's long
list of disappointments.
The Knicks try to snap a six-game losing streak, in addition to
a 12-game road skid, on Saturday when they visit the Milwaukee
Bucks.
Since acquiring Francis on February 22, New York has lost all
five games, with the latest defeat coming Friday, a 108-101
setback to Chicago. The Knicks held a 16-point lead in the
third quarter but were unable to secure their first win since
February 15.
Francis scored 18 points but committed two pivotal turnovers and
had a shot blocked in the final minute. The three-time
All-Star was booed by the Madison Square Garden crowd, which
witnessed its team losing for the 22nd time in 24 games.
The Bucks have dropped two straight home games following a
six-game winning streak here. In Wednesday's 123-110 loss in
Phoenix, Milwaukee allowed opponent season highs in points and
field-goal percentage (56.7).
Michael Redd scored 37 points on 13-of-22 shooting to lead the
Bucks, who still are one win shy of tying last season's total.
