*Grizzlies look to end lengthy Mile High City skid*
---------------------------------------------------
Memphis (33-26) at Denver (32-28) 9:00 pm EST
DENVER (Ticker) - The Memphis Grizzlies will try to extend their
winning streak in a place they haven't won in 8 1/2 years when
they visit the Denver Nuggets on Monday.
Winners of three straight games, the Grizzlies will try to end
their 16-game losing streak in Denver. Their last victory here
came at McNichols Arena on November 18, 1997, when the franchise
was based in Vancouver.
Memphis received 51 points from both their starters and bench
Sunday en route to a 102-86 victory against the Los Angeles
Clippers in the opener of a four-game road trip.
Mike Miller scored 12 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter to
lead the bench effort. All-Star Pau Gasol was the only Memphis
starter in double figures with 17 points.
The Nuggets, who have won their last five meetings overall
against the Grizzlies, are coming off of a 110-95 home triumph
over Orlando on Saturday.
Carmelo Anthony scored 24 points and Earl Boykins added 21 in
just 23 minutes for Denver, which was without forward Kenyon
Martin due to his chronic left knee.
Martin, who said he aggravated the surgically repaired knee in
Friday's game in Houston, is listed as day-to-day.
