*Cassell faces former team as Clippers visit Bucks*
---------------------------------------------------
LA Clippers (35-25) at Milwaukee (30-31) 8:30 pm EST
MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- While Elton Brand has received the
majority of the credit for the Los Angeles Clippers' resurgence,
Sam Cassell quietly is contributing to another winning team.
Brand and Cassell hope to lead the Clippers to their third
straight victory Saturday when they visit the Milwaukee
Bucks.
One of the league's leading candidates for MVP, Brand
collected 19 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks in a 107-96
triumph over the Chicago Bulls.
However, Cassell carried the load with 32 points as the Clippers
won for the fifth time in seven games. The veteran point guard
has played on nine playoff teams in his career, making four
postseason appearances in five seasons with the Bucks from
1999-2003.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee is coming off Friday's 92-86 win against
Boston that snapped a three-game losing streak.
Michael Redd scored 26 points, Bobby Simmons added 18 and Jamaal
Magloire 16 for the Bucks, who are tied with the Philadelphia
76ers for seventh place in the Eastern Conference.
The Clippers, who have not made the playoffs since 1997, are
sitting in fifth place in the Western Conference.
Los Angeles rolled to a 109-85 triumph over Milwaukee in the
first meeting this season on November 15 as Cassell scored all
23 of his points in the first three quarters.
