*Resurgent Rockets shoot for ninth win in 11 games*
---------------------------------------------------
Golden State (24-29) at Houston (23-31) 8:30 pm EST
HOUSTON (Ticker) -- As impressive as the Houston Rockets were
in their first game following the All-Star break, the Golden State
Warriors had to be just as disappointed with their performance.
The Rockets opened their second half with a 106-102 triumph over
the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday behind Yao Ming's 29
points and 15 rebounds and fellow All-Star Tracy McGrady's 26
points.
David Wesley added 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting for Houston,
which held a 45-36 rebounding advantage in winning for the
eighth time in 10 games.
Golden State's second half did not kick off in quite the same
fashion Tuesday, as the team was routed by Sacramento, 102-77.
Mickael Pietrus scored 16 points and Jason Richardson added 15
on 6-of-20 shooting as the Warriors lost for the fourth time in
six games and fell into last place in the Pacific Division.
Golden State dropped a 111-105 overtime decision to Houston on
December 14 before evening the season series with a 94-89
triumph on New Year's Eve behind 23 points from Baron Davis and
22 from Richardson.
