*James faces off with Iverson as Cavaliers visit 76ers*
-------------------------------------------------------
Cleveland (32-21) at Philadelphia (25-27) 7:00 pm EST
PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The last two NBA All-Star Game MVPs
square off Wednesday when LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers
visit Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers.
The hero of the 2006 midseason showcase, James rebounded from a
poor shooting first half to lift the Cavaliers to a 105-92
triumph over the Orlando Magic on Tuesday.
Two days after becoming the youngest All-Star Game MVP in NBA
history, James finished with 26 points and nine assists despite
making just four of his first 17 shots.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 24 points and 13 rebounds and Sasha
Pavlovic added a career-high 21 points for Cleveland, which has
won three straight and five of its last seven.
The Cavs hope to improve to 2-1 this season against a 76ers club
which entered the All-Star break having lost six of its last
eight.
Philadelphia looked awful in dropping a 117-84 decision at
Chicago on Thursday.
Iverson, the All-Star Game MVP in 2005, managed just 18 points
on 6-of-18 shooting. The league's second-leading scorer,
Iverson averaged 32.2 points in his previous five games before
Thursday's debacle.
