Charlotte (18-45) at Detroit (49-12) 6:00 pm EST
AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) -- Clinging to the league's best record, the Detroit Pistons are finding it difficult to reach their 50th victory.
The Pistons try to avoid their fourth loss in six games and post their 50th win for the fifth straight season Sunday when they meet the Charlotte Bobcats.
Attempting to avert consecutive defeats for the first time since February 4-7 and the second time this season, Detroit is just one-half game ahead of Dallas for the league's top mark.
Rasheed Wallace scored 18 points and Tony Delk and Richard Hamilton added 16 each for the Pistons in Saturday's 110-92 loss to the Washington Wizards. The usually-tenacious Detroit defense allowed Washington to shoot 55 percent (41-of-74) from the floor.
One of four teams with a league-low six road victories, the Bobcats no longer have the NBA's worst record after Saturday's 116-109 triumph over the New York Knicks.
Jumaine Jones scored 28 points, rookie Raymond Felton added 20 and Brevin Knight had 15 assists for Charlotte, which did not win its 18th game last year until April 23.
The Bobcats are expected to have their hands full against the Pistons, who are 27-2 at home, including 13 straight victories here. That streak began with a 114-91 triumph over the Bobcats on January 14.
