NEW YORK CITY MAYOR FUMED OVER 'SMOKING' ON STAGE AT STONES CONCERT

**Exclusive**

New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg is fuming mad over Rolling Stones members smoking on stage at Madison Square Garden during an HBO televised concert this weekend, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

"The major sent cops to issue summonses," one stage source told the DRUDGE REPORT. "But the cops watched the show by a monitor instead."

In December, ex-smoker Mayor Michael Bloomberg signed a strict smoking ban in New York City.

Bloomberg is also trying to get smoking banned in Central Park.

Why is he a Nazi for trying to save non-smokers from a smoker's choice to kill themsleves?

well, besides him trying to do that, he has already banned smoking in all restaurants and bars in the city. banning fucking cigarettes in bars, that's god damn ridiculous. a pack of cigarettes now costs $7.50 a pack in NYC, because of this guy. how typical of a liberal; condemn smoking and everyone who does it, but count on their revenue to fund their outrage and out of control spending.

he also passed the largest tax increase in the history of new york. 18 fucking percent increase man. he is also trying to raise the commuter tax, so people who live outside of the city and drive in to work, will get taxed even more. he is going to totally fuck that city.

typical liberal answer to everything: just raise taxes.

Smoking is a choice, not a right.

That means that their choice is okay as long as it does not infringe on other's right to breath fresh non-smokey air.

is someone holding a fucking gun at their head to keep them in a bar? no, i dont think so. those people also have the choice to leave. it shouldnt be up to the government as to whether or not a PRIVATE business will allow people to smoke.

That is an illogical line of thought. People do not go to a bar for the smoke. They go for many different reasons. People who work at bar (and HAVE TO WORK) should not suffer b/c of someone's nasty habit.

they knew there would be people smoking there BEFORE they applied to work there. if they didnt want to be around cigarette smoke, i guess they should have applied else where. no one is forcing them to work there anyhow. they can always get another low paying job somewhere else. im sure the local food store has some cashier jobs open.

You're about as quick as Forest Gump.

Firstly, people that work in bar make nice coinage. Bartenders make at least $100 per night tax free. It is almost the same for busboys.

Second-hand smoke is a hazard. Innocent people are being protected. Smokers can go outside and smoke their brains out. Nobody's rights are being infringed upon.

Instead of worrying about real problems (like Ashcroft and his War on The Boll of Rights), a typical Neanderthal conservative is trying to help big tobacco kill people.

you completely avoided the fact that people knew cigarettes were going to be smoked in that establishment BEFORE they applied for employment, and you also ignored the fact that they can get a job somewhere else, if they dont like the working environment.

with your logic, i guess people who work for a landscaping business should sue so they dont have to spread fertilizer. i guess people who pump gas should sue so they dont have to do that job either. i guess anyone who has a potentially harmful job should just stop doing that as well.

I know that when I drive in my car that I might be hit and killed by another driver, but it is still illegal to hit someone with your car.

question for you two, can I go to a bar or similar establishment and release some sort of toxin or slow poison in the air without getting in trouble?

I think we live in a free country. The owner of the bar should have the decision of whether it's patrons should be able to smoke or not--not the governemt.

I hate smoke, but I hate goverment control over everything more.

Last time i checked, it's never been illegal to let loose a little fartsey wartsey if needs be, but i'm not sure how popular you'd be.

the issue isn't smoking per se, it's about smoking inside in a public establishment.
