Natural PB Fats - Good?

Are the fats in natural peanutbutter good fats? Like, if I'm doing a CKD, I can count them towards my days total, right?

Though there are carbs, I know, I'm just curious.

yes they are good. but i think they have too many carbs for cdk. i was told you should shoot for 0 carbs, because some foods have trace carbs like in some cheeses for example. but a table spoon or 2 isnt gonna hurt.

i think you can subtract the fiber from the carbs in ckd...,.is this true? if not then i would get all my carbs from fiber sources, like flax seed.

eurorides, sorry, but a 0 carb diet is a very bad idea. I'm a keto diet advocate, however it should be obvious that some roughage and raw veggies should be included in ANY diet, which will add some carbs. Some people (rare, and usually extremely overweight) must go as low as 15 g of carbs a day to get into ketosis, however some people can go as high as 100+, as long as they are low gi carbs and get into keep ketosis.

LK, yes naturaly peanutt butter is an excellent choice, just make sure to count the carbs. 4.7 g for every 2 tbs. Those are the absorbable carbs. Make certain to leave some carb grams for your veggies every day.

I have never been on a ckd diet, i just skimmed through some of the info. but you say a 0 carb is a bad idea, why is it bad if you have a carb up day? or does your body need some forms of carbs daily to work ? (if thats true what about the "inuit" diet somone posted the other day?) thanks

natty PB is awesome...has a little protein, carbs and fats...Though, the main use of natty pb, for me, is the fats (good fats)

eurorides, I think you need a lot of green vegetatbles in ANY diet. Green veggies always have some carbs, though not many. You can easilykeep it under 20 grams and eat almost a gallon of green veggies every day. However a zero carb diet would be 100% meat. Even cheese and eggs have traces of carbs, so one would be eating 4 or 5 grams a day if they threw in a lot of cheese and eggs. The only way to do a zero carb diet is an all meat & oil diet, which I would never recomend to anyone.
