Mystic tan....

Hello ladies,
Anyone here Mystic tan? I have been doing so for about a year now. I love it, buy can NEVER get my hands right. There is always a build up of DHA / bronzer that makes it look like I have monkey paws. Looks foolish! I use the barrier cream, but I must be doing something wrong!! My boyfriend actually owns the booth, and he doesn't have this problem, but he is dark skined. Any ideas or tips you ladies use while mystic tanning / applying self tanner??? Thanks!

I did it a couple times to get some color for my brother's wedding (in Minnesota in December with a black strapless dress ... yes I was WHITE!). It was ok, but I honestly don't know how you avoid the monkey hands if you do it enough times that you have a significant contrast in your "normal" and your "tanned" skin. I was just trying to get rid of that pastey "haven't seen the sun in months" color. Its really a problem with any of those "skin dyes". It gets into the creases & ridges in your hands and you just can't keep it out.

Thanks Sassy, there has got to be a better way. I started putting the mystic tan maintaner on first, then the barrier cream. This has worked well, but still messes up if I tan more than once a week. If you tan like this for something special, this would work great for you!

Daisy - not a hijack!! Glad you asked....... Yes you can mystic tan while pregnant. Actually, pregnant woman acount for the majority of regular mystic tanners. You can tan through your entire pregnancy, but they do recommend that you mention it to your doctor first. I have never ment anyone that the doctor didn't say it was ok, but you should check everything out with the doctor if your pregnant.
Oh - one tip though - if your breast are getting larger, you should hold your hands up above your head, this ensures that the mystic tan get's under your breast, so you don't have a bright white line. HTH
